TOURNAMENT rules
- 4 - 7 minute stop time quarters*
- Referee silent count used instead of 30 second clock
- The 10 second half court rule is in effect
- 1 time out in each half – non cumulative
- There will be a 3 minute break at half time.
- Equal playing time for the first three quarters of the game.
We would like all games to start on time in order to keep to the published tournament schedules. Teams should plan to arrive at 15 minutes prior to their POSTED game time and be ready to take to the floor once the proceeding game has finished. * 60 Minutes has been allocated to each game slot - site supervisors will monitor the pace of play to keep game schedules on time.
Site supervisors will direct players on and off the courts to ensure that COVID protocols are followed.
Players should keep their personal belonging with them at their team bench as secure change room facilities will not be available.
GAME RULES – FIBA rules are in effect for all league with the following adaptions:
- Equal Playing time – It is our expectation that players will receive equitable playing time in the first three quarters of the game. During the final quarter and any overtime, substitutions will be at the discretion of the coach.
- Zone defenses of ANY kind are NOT permitted
- Press - full court (person-to-person) press is allowed; however, when a lead exceeds 15 points, press must be taken off.
- Double teaming is permitted on the ball and ONLY in the front court.
It is vital that coaches, players and parents respect the rules of the game, officials and one another. We hope coaches will set a good example for their athletes, and that we can all practice fair play.
